Take Off

Our group has spent the last few days trying to decide what genre and story we could go with. We've been a little troubled on what genre to go with since we put so many options on the table. When we first discussed it, we mentioned horror, action, drama, mystery, and even a sci-fi. I was scared that we would not have an idea anytime soon. 

Since I am more of a cinematographer it was a struggle trying to think of ideas, but over the weekend I was able to sit down with my partner Rafael and brainstorm over some Steak 'N Shake. After some discussion I introduced the idea of a boxing drama. Rafael and I both liked the idea. While in class, we suggested the idea to the rest of our group. We reviewed our genre research and all agreed on a drama.

We still have an abundance of research and planning left to do. However, this was definitely a step forward and I was very happy and relieved that we now have our idea for our film opening. I'm already visualizing shots and I am very excited for how this project will turn out.
